Christine Hoppe


Christine Hoppe is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV), and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). She has expertise in tax, accounting, litigation support, business valuation, complex data analysis, financial modeling and has developed various financial modeling tools.

Christine has been involved in a wide range of litigation consulting services. Christine has expertise in the quantification of economic damages in matters ranging from patent and trademark infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, false advertising, contract claims, broker raiding claims, shareholder disputes, business interruption claims, professional malpractice, family law, and personal injury claims. In connection with these services, she regularly performs fact finding and discovery assistance, lost profit calculations, reasonable royalty rate calculations, business valuations, lost earnings and wages computations, and other financial analyses.

Christine’s business valuation experience includes valuations for business disputes, estate, gift, shareholder agreements, mergers and acquisitions, divorce, and prenuptial agreement purposes. The valuations have encompassed non-marketable, controlling and minority interests in corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies.

Christine has been in public accounting since 1995 and her accounting experience includes supervising, reviewing and preparing audits, reviews, compilations, estate, gift, corporate, consolidated, individual, and multi-state income tax returns. She has also prepared and developed financial reports, budgets, forecasts, projections, and business plans.

Christine has been a speaker at professional conferences and continuing education programs on topics including intellectual property damages, business valuations, and estate and gift tax planning. She has been on the Michigan Association of CPAs (MICPA) planning committees for the Litigation and Business Valuation Annual Conference since 2002, the Divorce Issues Conference, the Litigation Mock Trial, and the Fraud Issues Conference since 2008. She has also volunteered as an expert witness in the Institute for Continuing Legal Education’s Deposition Skills Workshop.

Christine holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of Michigan – Dearborn (with distinction) and a Master of Science in Taxation from Walsh College (cum laude). She also received her designation as a Certified Valuation Analyst from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and her designations as Accredited in Business Valuations and Certified in Financial Forensics from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Christine is a member of the MICPA, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, Inforum f/k/a the Women’s Economic Club, the MACPA Litigation & Business Valuation Task Force, the MACPA Fraud Task Force, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She was also the former Secretary and Treasurer for the University of Michigan – Dearborn’s School of Management Alumni Board of Governors.
